ESCONDIDO, California ?? Jaime Diaz, 21, of National City died Wednesday afternoon after he lost control of his 1998 Ford Mustang and crashed into a guardrail and the center divider as he was transitioning from the eastbound State Route 78 onto the southbound Interstate Route 15 freeway, according to a San Diego Medical Examiner report.
Diaz was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the 1:30 p.m. crash and was pronounced dead by police officers who arrived at the scene of the car accident.
